40 year dream come true!
I have loved Duran Duran since I was 6 or 7 years old when the first album was released. They were such a big part of the soundtrack of my youth and that carried through my life. So many memories ties to their music. I still remember crying at 10 years old when SLB’s boat capsized and he almost drowned and I learned about it on my Moms People magazine. It’s prob still in my childhood stuff. Nick is my man though. Always had eyes for him from the beginning. He is still fab and I adore him. Simon is a funny guy too, had us all cracking up w/his quips and sarcasm. The music, the imagery, the personal bonds of the band members palpable on stage… all of it. I felt like a kid again at this show and I made my kids watch them the next night on TV on NYE. They think it’s HILARIOUS mom is Gaga for a 60yr old guy in an orange suit with bleached new wave hair and more make up than I wear, till I had to remind them that I’m old too! I am SO stoked I got to go. I only wish the floor seats had not been hundreds, or given away to high rollers who didn’t even know who DD are and just sat there. I danced, on my feet the WHOLE show. SO. GREAT. !!!!!! I love DD!!!!
